Pulau Kassa  yang terletak di Teluk Piru Kabupaten Seram Bagian Barat Provinsi Maluku, termasuk salah satu hutan lindung sesuai dengan keputusan Menteri Kehutanan No 104/menhut-II/2006 dengan luas taman wisata alam/laut di tetapkan sebesar 1.100,8 ha.

Pulau Kassa memiliki daya tarik tersendiri,  air Lautnya yang bersih berwarna biru dan jernih,  terumbu karang yang indah dan eksotis yang sangat cantik dan dihiasi ikan-ikan kecil berfariasi menanmbah sensasi tersendiri. Di tambah lagi dengan pasir yang putih yang melingkari pulau kecil itu sehingga memanjakan mata bagi orang yang memandangnya.

Tempat ini sangat cocok untuk mengisih waktu liburan kawan kawan.

Apa lagi yang hobinya  snorklin atau diving sangat rekomen. Yang uniknya di Pulau Kassa Masih kita jumpai beberapa jenis burung khas maluku salah satunya burung maleo.

Burung maleo salah hewan yang dilindungi oleh pemerintah setempat.

Buakn saja hewan(fauna) ada juga pohon kayu(flora)  besi, pohon pinus dan pohon papua yang rindam sehingga wisatawan dapat berteduh di bawah pohon.

Pulau Kassa memilki ekosistem yang unggul  sehingga bisah di jadikan wisata indonesia.

Sarana yang ada di Pulau Kassa

Pemerintah kabupaten seram bagian barat melalui dinas pariwasata seram barat pernah membangun tempat nginap seperti vila di daratan maupun vila terapung.

Tetapi bangunannya sudah rusak parah, di tambah lagi sebagian jembatan perahu kayunya sudah busuk dan berlubang, bagi teman-teman yang mau ke jembatan hati-hati awas jatuh.

Sayang sekali pulau yang begitu indah, namun tidak ada yang merawatnya.

Saran 

bagi wisatawan yang berkunjung ke pulau kassa mari kita sama sama menjaga dan merawat pulau tersebut jangan memotong kayu hidup,merusak fasilitas yang sudah di bangun oleh pemerintah setempat, berenang tidak boleh menginjak terumbu karang , di larang menangkap atau berburu burung maleo.

Demi mamajukan pariwisata.

Mari katong samua sama-sama menjaga ke indahan kassa island.

Bukan saja pulau kassa, semua tempat- tempat wisata yang ada di Maluku khususnya Pulau Seram.

Akses ke lokasi

wisatawan dapat mengunjungi Pulau Kassa melalui Jalur laut dari Kota Ambon menuju Desa Hitu menggunakan kendaraan roda dua atau roda empat .

kemudian menggunakan spit bot sebagai alat transportasi menuju langsung ke pulau Kassa . Waktu tempuh dari Desa Hitu ke Pulau Kassa Kurang lebih 30 menit

wisatawan juga bisah menempu jalur darat dari Kota Ambon ke Hunimua(Liang) kemudian menngunakan jasa Feri untuk menyebrang  menuju waipirit( Seram). dan melanjutkan perjelanan menuju kota Piru atau desa kaibobu, setelah sampai di kota Piru atau desa kaibobu wisatawan bisah menggunakan spit bot atau pentura sebagai jasa transportasi untuk Menuju Pulau Kassa.
